PSG already have two brilliant goalkeepers, Alphonse Areola and Kevin Trapp, in their squad but are keen on signing a ‘World Class’ keeper. Apart from De Gea, they have also been linked with a move for Jan Oblak, who has a €100 million release clause in his contract at Atletico Madrid.
They were ready to activate it in the summer but were reluctant to do so because of FFP rules. They were more interested in signing Mbappe and they got him on loan instead of on a permanent deal to avoid breaching the fair play rules.
De Gea reportedly wants to leave Manchester United and head back to Spain. Real Madrid were the only club interested in him but now face competition from PSG.

It won’t be a surprise of De Gea or Oblak end up at PSG next summer but it would be interesting to see how they manage to sign them along with Mbappe without breaching FFP rules.
